The headquarters of Crédit Agricole Aquitaine is to address an entire region. It comes to build relationships, create synergies, and asks of itself a platform for the ensemble of its collaborators and activities.
The project is built around two complementary forces: the lobby (conviviality and interior meeting spaces) and the urban dialogue (the variations and sequencing along the exterior).
These two forces are translated as accurately as possible according to the desired proportions and perspectives. They are at the same time made physical and temporal, firstly through the play of solid and void, through the sensible attention to materiality, and the interaction of water and light, and secondly through flexibility, as the project must adapt to the user’s needs over the years.
Inspired by the sequencing of the Quartier des Chartrons in Bordeaux, the elegant sobriety of the façade allows for variations of the same theme that wrap the facades with an appropriate scale. The building is singular and multiple all at the same time.
