Building height at the gates of Paris.
The Porte de Bagnolet, on the eastern edge of Paris is a place of incessant flux.
The placement of a tower within the neighborhood’s heterogeneous urban fabric could come to mark one of the cities grand entries. Airport regulations (linked to CSG airport) cut the plot in two parts, thereby limiting the buildings’ heights on one side.
This led to splitting the one original tower into two smaller units – or, version of the twin towers.
By splitting the form into two, a more elegant tower-like building is is created. At the ground floor two hotels occupy a boomerang-shaped building that accompany the flux of the city’s ring road.
